About TBFF

Welcome to theToronto Beaches Film Festival (TBFF)

The Toronto Beaches Film Festival is a festival like no other in the city of Toronto.

We are lucky enough to place Shannonn Kelly from the famed ReelHeART International Film Festival on board as our “Artistic Director” to guide us through the ropes and make sure we run a fun and relevant festival.

We proved with our 1st Annual Toronto Beaches Film Festival that the film going folks in the Beaches Community crave film culture and ‘fresh’ films on topics resonate with the beaches residents:

  • 3rd World Issues
  • Activism against Big Companies, Big Brother and the Government
  • Adventure
  • Animal-Friendly
  • Beach Culture
  • Beach Towns
  • Bio-Friendly
  • Blues
  • Boardwalks
  • Comedy
  • Dolphins
  • Drama
  • Eco-Friendly
  • Environment Friendly
  • Family Issues
  • Green-Friendly
  • Jazz
  • Kid-Friendly
  • Oceanography
  • Oil in Oceans
  • Route 66
  • Saving our Beaches

  • Social Justice
  • Surf Music
  • Surfing
  • Urban Sustainability
  • Vegan and Vegetarian Friendly
  • Water Conservation
  • Water Animals

If your film or documentary has a “beach related” theme, even better! And that theme can be literal or figurative.

Feature films, Short films, Feature docs and Short docs. And vintage beach like stuff your parents took on that old Super 8mm camera on summer vacation.

  1. Hi,

So great to see that the Beach will have it’s own film festival. that’s fantastic! Congratulations.

I’ve lived in the beach for decades and would love to see a festival that treated us hard working film makers fairly.

    Thanks, and all the best,

    Mark

  2. Please keep Beach Metro News abreast of times and dates of screenings when the festival gets nearer. We would like to help promote this in the paper… and on our website. Upcoming issues are May 15, May 29, & June 12 (deadlines for each issue a week prior to issue - schedule on website). Thanks… and good luck. Let’s hope this really takes off!

  3. I’ve bought tickets via Paypal, but all I’ve received so far is the Paypal receipt. How do I get the actual tickets? There is NO phone number to call on your website, the FOX theatre office is not answering their phone, the show starts at 4:00pm Fri, it’s now 3:30pm so I have to leave soon to get there on time. Will the Paypal receipt be honoured at the box office?

  4. Hello Diane - yes the Paypal receipt is all you need for the tickets. See you soon !
