NB: A portion of the ticket proceeds will go to Dhulikel Hospital In Nepal. Christoph’s foundation Colour the World (which you will learn about in this documentary) recently helped to construct a section for women. Synopsis: “Falling Stars” is a short documentary  by Jared Price featuring Alawna Jamison and Marie Lindsey. Just as Malibu is famous for its stars, Leo Carrillo State Park is famous for its sea stars. This California beach is visited by thousands of people every year. They enjoy the beautiful location and the great diversity of marine life in its tide pools. Sea stars are often the first marine animal that children can identify, because of their vibrant colors and plentiful numbers. Known for their resilience, they can regrow damaged limbs, sometimes even entire bodies. But a new disease is decimating the population all along the Pacific Coast of North America. Ranger Marie Lindsey describes the local outbreak as it happens.

Mungo’s home, built out of old pallets and recycled beach refuse, represented not only his philosophies of sustainability, but also the heart of the local community. ‘Life’s a Beach’, follows Mungo’s experiences there; his challenges and triumphs, all leading to his tragic death, which confirmed the man a local legend.

Synopsis: Amy, an attractive and overconfident single woman, confuses love with money and becomes a victim of the materialistic nature of South Beach. Amy has dreams that Nick can’t fulfill, and although she loves him, she grows tired of his inability to afford the lifestyle South Beach demands.

In her search for glamour and a dancing career, Amy meets Sam, an older, married man who lives in New York. Even though Sam provides Amy with the luxurious lifestyle she desires, she begins to feel a void for love and attention. Unwilling to let go of Sam’s financial support, Amy becomes involved in a parallel relationship with Robert, who loves her but remains suspicious of her ways and motives.

 Amy’s double life reaches a point of no return, where she discovers that in South Beach, not everything is as good as it looks.
